5th Annual ‘Feel the Love’ Music Industry Expo at Emo’s

AUSTIN MUSIC FOUNDATION TO HOST ITS 5TH ANNUAL ‘FEEL THE LOVE’ MUSIC INDUSTRY EXPO, FEB. 19 AT EMO’S, WITH MAYOR STEVE ADLER AS KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Key community event coincides with Love Austin Music Month and the introduction of Kristyn Ciani of C3 Presents as incoming AMF Board President

AUSTIN, TX The Austin Music Foundation’s annual ‘Feel the Love’ Music Industry Expo is back for a fifth year and will feature Mayor Steve Adler as the evening’s keynote speaker. The Expo is a one-of-a-kind community event that provides a forum for professionals in the Austin music industry to connect with area music support organizations, learn about available resources and network with their peers. Hosted by Matt Reilly, Program Director of KUTX, and featuring a performance by SaulPaul, the event will take place on Tuesday, February 19 at Emo’s located at 2015 E Riverside Dr. The Expo is free to attend and open to the public. ‘Feel the Love’ coincides with Love Austin Music Month, an effort led by City Music Manager Erica Shamaly, in partnership with KUTX and Austin Music Foundation. Love Austin Music Month aims to celebrate the rich history and vibrant present of Austin music, across all genres, and to help Austinites forge a deeper connection with their music community. AUSTIN MUSIC FOUNDATION OFFICIALLY WELCOMES NEW BOARD PRESIDENT AND FOUR NEW MEMBERS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In the fall of 2018, the Austin Music Foundation Board of Directors elected Kristyn Ciani as the new Board President. Kristyn, a fourth generation Austinite and Talent Buyer for concert promoter C3 Presents, has served on the AMF Board of Directors for four years, and formerly served as Board Chair of Austin Music People for one year.

In her role at C3 Presents, Kristyn is part of the Amp and Arena team where she helps book venues such as Austin360 Amphitheater, The Frank Erwin Center, and more. She also oversees the bookings for The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, NV and longtime Austin venue, Emo’s. Kristyn was selected to participate in the 2019 class of ALL ATX Leadership, where she works with local leaders to build a strong, connected music and entertainment community throughout Texas.

“I’m proud of what AMF has accomplished, and am excited to bring 12+ years of industry experience to help build upon a long-established history of supporting Austin’s creative class,” says Kristyn. “I look forward to guiding this fast-growing organization in efforts to pave the way for future generations in music.”

Kristyn succeeds former CIO/CTO of Mood Media Danny Gillespie, who served as AMF Board President from 2016-2018, 2012-2011 and 2004 – 2010.

The Austin Music Foundation also welcomes four new members to the Board of Directors: Alex Vallejo, former Creative Director of AMF, award-winning Austin musician and School of Rock Music Director; Brooke Leal, Festival Marketing Manager for C3 Presents; Jake Nishimura, Director of Digital Marketing at Messina Touring Group; and Robert Sanchez, founder of Group Therapy Studios and Music Marketing Manager at YETI.
