I’m reaching out to you today on behave of St. Edward’s University Programming Board. I am the music and talents event coordinator and I’m currently organizing the 2nd Annual Battle of the Bands competition at St. Edward’s University on March 22nd, 2012 6pm-8pm.

Being that St. Edward’s campus is located in the music capital of the world we have the benefit of a large population of student artist. This event was a major success last year and has helped the winner of the battle progress in there music journeys. This year will be no exception being that the battle has grown to a lineup of 7 campus artist.

However, the competition is lacking in one key area of success, qualified judges to help decide the winner. I found Austin Music Foundation and thought they might be able to help. I know this being a week after SXSW some of your members might be musiced out. But, if you could pass this message along to your members or help point me in the direction of a qualified individual it would be so much appreciated.

Judges would get the opportunity to see 7 undiscovered acts play and help build the Austin music community as well. Thanks for your time. Also, this event will have professional sound and light and be hosted at St. Edward’s University.

Thanks for your inquiry! Austin Music Foundation won’t be hosting a Boot Camp during SXSW, but we’ll be having other events throughout the year and I’ll add you to our newsletter to keep you informed.
