AMF received grant support from the Webber Family Foundation to continue bringing educational seminars to local artists and music industry professionals. The Austin Music Foundation recently received $33,000 from the Webber Family Foundation for the MIBC 2003 season. AMF has provided local artists and music industry professionals with seminars focusing on a wide range of topics such as getting a record deal to managing your taxes. These boot camps feature local and national panelists known for their expertise in the music industry. "Thanks to the Webber Family Foundation we can continue to offer free seminars and services to the Austin music community." Colin Kendrick, co-founder and Executive Director of AMF said. "These individuals are the lifeblood of the music industry and the future of music in Austin." The Webber funding lets AMF expand the already successful seminars to include more national panelists, raise community awareness and increase momentum for the 2003 season.
