Programs and Services

Austin Music Foundation (AMF) offers professional and economic development services to artists and industry professionals through the programs extended to its members and the community. AMF makes memberships available to music fans as well as industry professionals and provides them with outlets to participate in celebrating Austin's unique musical character. Our unique mission, innovative methods, and fearless spirit drive our ever-growing loyal following that includes local artists, music fans, business, and the national music community.

Small Group Sessions

Small Group Sessions provide an intimate experience designed for detail and discussion.  Small Group Sessions allow groups of 15 to 20 participants to meet face to face with industry professionals for detailed career advice.  The program facilitates communication between artists and music community professionals who wish to mentor up-and-coming talent.  All sessions are free of charge, but space is limited.

Austin Music Incubator

The Austin Music Incubator is a unique, year-long program that provides selected awardees with a budget of up to $15,000 worth of services for recording and marketing their record as well as the opportunity to work with the AMF staff and Board of Advisors over the course of a year and a half.

Music Industry Boot Camp (MIBC)

Music Industry Boot Camp is a bi-monthly educational seminar series created by Austin Music Foundation to help musicians and industry professionals learn about the business aspects of the music industry so that they can become more savvy and ultimately more successful with their artistic endeavors.

Speakers both locally and from around the country are selected for their expertise and experience about the given topic to take part as instructors and panel members for these seminars. Music Industry Boot Camp is a community service offered by Austin Music Foundation, and attendance is open to the public and free of charge. To attend a Boot Camp, simply come to the event and sign in at the door.

Austin Music Mixer

It's all about networking.  Everyone knows that relationship-building is important in creating business opportunities--especially in the music industry.  Austin needs a welcoming place where musicians and industry professionals can come together and develop contacts to enhance their careers.  In an effort to further unite the local music scene and make Austin a friendlier place for all who come here, AMF introduces Austin Music Mixer.

Austin Music Mixer provides the opportunity for local musicians and industry folks to get to know each other in an informal environment, share experiences, and learn from each other.  It's also a great place for new Austin artists to get plugged into the music community.  So whether you're a longtime Austinite or green on the scene, Austin Music Mixer provides valuable information for artists at any stage in their careers.
