AMF Bio: Alissa McCain

Mrs. McCain�s primary role with the AMF is in developing the Austin Music Incubator but she is an invaluable asset in event production and coordination. In addition to her work with the AMF, Alissa works as a Program Administrator in the Driver License Division for the Texas Department of Public Safety. Her responsibilities include grant writing and coordination, statistical analysis, and project management. Alissa gained entertainment industry and event planning knowledge through her work as a staff member for South by Southwest Conferences and Festivals. During SXSW 2000 she worked in the Music Production department where she coordinated the advancement of shows and the stage management of 50 venues. She then moved to the Registration area for SXSW 2001, 2002, and 2003 where she performed functions involving all aspects of large scale event planning.

Alissa holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Texas at Arlington and a J.D. from Texas Tech University. She is a member of the Texas Bar.
