UPCOMING EVENTS She Rocks calendar release party - Elysium - Thur, Nov 8 | 11.04.04 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE This fall the AMF has received one of the greatest donations of its two and a half year existence - a new home! During a whirlwind of fall events and gearing up for an even busier 2005, the AMF is delighted to have new office space as the base of its operations for service to the community. Schlosser Development, a local property development and property management company, has graciously offered to house the young non-profit music organization. Effective immediately, the Austin Music Foundation will be operating from the sleek and modern designs of Schlosser Development's office space at 5th and Lamar and also has a new business address: 907 W. 5th Street, Suite 203, Austin, Texas 78703. Expressing her gratitude after moving the entire office operation from its previous location, her home, AMF's Executive Director, Nikki Rowling, exclaims: "It feels like graduation day for the AMF. I still can't believe that we are working from this spacious and central location. The AMF is very lucky and thankful of Schlosser Development's commitment to support the music community in Austin." Of his company's donation, President Bradley F. Schlosser explains: "Schlosser Development is a local company that believes in supporting Austin as a city, and the things that make our city great. Music is an integral part of what Austin is, and we are happy to support it through the Austin Music Foundation." Most Austinites are familiar with Schlosser Development's award-winning Market District project at Sixth and Lamar. This includes the new Whole Foods Market Landmark store and the five surrounding blocks. The Market District, AMF's new home, will have public spaces, art and places for live music. "Thanks to Schlosser Development's generosity, now we're truly in the heart of the live music capital of the world!" says Nikki Rowling. Aside from Austin's Market District, Schlosser Development has developed and manages close to 2,000,000 square feet of retail and have another 750,000 square feet on the way. Schlosser Development takes pride in contributing to great causes like the Austin Music Foundation. Schlosser also contributes to Austin Shakespeare Festival, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, local Boys and Girls Clubs, and the Austin Parks Foundation.
