The Austin Music Foundation announced the launch of its monthly educational series, the Music Industry Boot Camp.
Layne Lauritzen, the Music CPA (http://www.musiccpa.com/) who represents over 150 local musicians, spoke with assistance from Mark Newman, professional road manager, who has worked for the likes of the Black Crowes and Peter Frampton. They provided useful information and Q&A on this topic just in time for the tax return due date. Austin musicians checked out the free educational seminar at the Steamboat�s new location at 110 E. Riverside and learned how to file taxes and set up yearly budgets. Admittance was free for musicians and music industry professionals.
