AMF Bio: Colin Kendrick

Mr. Kendrick served as the founding Executive Director of the Austin Music Foundation from 2001 - 2003. He currently works for Dell Inc as a Global Commodities Manager and before that as a Senior Contracts Manager for Apple Computer in the AppleCare Business Development Group. Prior to that he served as the Director of Operations for SchoolPeople Inc., a start-up providing Web-based administrative software to school districts. There he was responsible for the daily operations, finances, and legal work of the company. As an executive officer of the company and early member of the management team he participated in the business development and fundraising efforts that landed SchoolPeople in the Austin Technology Incubator.

Prior to joining SchoolPeople, Mr. Kendrick worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a consultant to high net worth individuals. His work there included portfolio management and tax compliance for both individuals and family foundations. During his undergraduate studies Mr. Kendrick worked two seasons at KLRU (PBS) as an audio intern for the nationally televised music program Austin City Limits. His experiences there and his graduate studies on sustainable funding for non-profits served as the catalyst for the concepts underlying the Austin Music Foundation.

Mr. Kendrick holds an M.B.A. with a dual concentration in finance and accounting and a B.S. in Radio, Television, and Film with a concentration in audio engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
