AMF Bio: Nikki Rowling

In her role as Program Director, Ms. Rowling develops new programs and services for music industry professionals and the local community. She is also the owner of Mercury Star Management Inc., a full-service management and promotions company for emerging artists in Austin. Ms. Rowling was also a founding member of the Rock-U Showcase, LLC series that showcased promising unsigned artists to A&R; reps and industry professionals across the Southwest United States in 2002. She is on the Advisory Board for Knowbility's AIR for Austin Music annual event, and has been a featured panelist in several national music conferences, including SXSW Music Conference (Austin, TX), DIY Conference for Music, Books, and Film (Los Angeles, CA), the Nashville New Music Conference (Nashville, TN), and the New Mexico Showcase 2002 (Albuquerque, NM).

Ms. Rowling also has prior experience in two early stage high-tech companies, where her responsibilities included business development with Fortune 200 customers and negotiation of corporate partnerships.

Ms. Rowling holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin�s Plan II Honors Program.
