Here’s some quick tips:

• Not all venues do things the same way, so be diverse in your promotion. Send emails as well as hangout at the venues you want to play.
• Have a professional looking promo. It is highly recommended to get an EPK (Electronic Promotion Kit).
• Get other like-minded bands to perform with you, and have that ready for your pitch. The less work the venue has to do, the better.
• Don’t rely on the venue to promote your show. Be active on social media, as well as all your promoting avenues.
